Answer

If a student has an ACT, or ACT equivalent, score less than 15, the student will be under a conditional college admission. Your advisor can discuss what conditional admission entails. The following is placement information for unconditional college admission:

1.      Minimum ACT composite score, SAT score, COMPASS Reading Skills score, or ASSET Reading Skills score required for unconditional college admission

Minimum ACT score is a 15, COMPASS score of 68, and an Asset score of 37 for unconditional college admission

2. Minimum ACT English sub-score, SAT Writing score, COMPASS Writing Skills score, or ASSET Writing Skills score required for placement in English Composition 1

Minimum ACT score is 19, COMPASS score of 75, and an Asset score of 45 for placement into English Composition 1

3. Minimum ACT Reading sub-score, SAT Reading score, COMPASS Reading Skills score, or ASSET Reading score required for placement in general education courses listed in the Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS)

ACT score is 19, COMPASS score is 81, and ASSET is 42

4. Minimum ACT mathematics sub-score, SAT math score, COMPASS Algebra test score, or ASSET Intermediate Algebra test score required for placement in college algebra or college mathematics

ACT is 19, COMPASS is 36, and ASSET is 43
