Answer

Becoming a college student after being a high school student or being out of school for a period of time can be fun, exciting, but can also sometimes feel a bit "nerv-wrecking." There are many aspects that you can prepare yourself for to make the transition to becoming a college student smoother and easier, such as how to manage your time, understand the level of academics that will be expected of you, create a support network, familiarize yourself with the college, take advantage of any resources that the college offers, etc. See the handout "Making the Transition to College" for more information.

The best person to contact if you have questions and/or need help to make this transition is your academic advisor!
